Clay owes a lot of his attributes to his sire, Balmoral Oaks Eagle, and is a credit to his father. His dam Prospect Hill Renia 12R who's strong family line goes back to the well respected Gem’s at Prospect Hill. Clay is a great herd sire and had an active show career as a young bull, winning ribbons at many classic shows in Western Canada.

South Valley Josephine’s Light was sired by MJB Torch Light 5P who was out of the very strong Maid line of females. Torch Light also has Blue ridge genetics in his pedigree along with the well known and respected Australian sire Mandalong Super Elephant. Her dam Josephines Pride is also out of a strong female line at South Valley and goes back to the Flora’s. She carries Butterfield and also more Mandalong genetics in her strong pedigree line.
